AB&C is a strategy and business consulting firm. The business is run by me, Martin Marklund. This is my mindset:
Digital first – I’m a computer geek and an IT enthusiast. It is crucial to have a digital know-how and a data-driven way of working when the digital era is changing the playing field for all companies. Digital forces us to evolve.
Corporate finance – I enjoy working with numbers (and humans). My way of working is characterized by business sense and result orientation focusing on client value.

I have lived on three continents and am fascinated by different cultures. I grew up in the north of Sweden in front of a computer screen or playing soccer and ice hockey. Recently, food, music, nature and outdoor activities have become important parts of my life. I can call myself a Swedish Classic since 2012.

Joined AZ Growth Capital as the first employee. As a M&A firm with focus on digital transformation we’ve partnered with clients such as Loomis, Dometic, and Nederman.
Key learnings: Buy & sell side M&A and digital strategy
As a member of the AZ Growth Capital team I co-founded the investment company Hortus Group. I built the brand and company profile for Hortus, was a key member setting the investment structure and raised 180 MSEK. Hortus is currently majority owner in three portfolio companies. I managed the transaction process from market screening and analysis, identifying investment opportunities, initiating contacts, valuations, deal structure and indicative bid, letter of intent, due diligence, and support in final negotiations with share and purchase agreements.
I was actively involved in all of our portfolio companies and still represent Hortus as a board member in one of them.
Key learnings: Finding and evaluating investment opportunities and active ownership
I consulted 30 start-up companies with fundraising and coordinated with banks, business angels, and VC firms.

AB&C has its office at Media Evolution City. It is the hub for digital and creative industries in Malmö.
